I am a master's student studying lichen community ecology with Dr. Bruce McCune. My research focuses on relating lichen communities to climate, with a focus on cyanobacterial lichens. I earned my BS in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Kansas, where I gained experience in plant curation, paleobotany, mycology, and some molecular biology. My interests also include learning/nerding out about vascular plants, bryophytes, fungi, and pretty much anything in biology. I am happy to give advice relating to your undergraduate career, including: coursework, undergraduate research, lab experience, scholarship applications, resume/CV review, and getting into graduate school.
